Social Studies Faculty

Chris Butler (butler3) teaches Modern History and World Since 1945. He earned his B.A. and his M.Ed degrees at the University of Illinois.

Ben Leff (leff) teaches freshman World History and Race Class, and Gender in 20th Century American Popular Culture. He holds a bachelor's degree in history and master's degree in American history from Brown University.

Janet Morford (jmorford) is the Executive Teacher of the Department of Social Studies and teaches Introduction to Social Studies. She has also taught World History¬Ě and helps coordinate the UNI-WILL oral history projects. She is also involved in Uni's Habitat Club and loves making trips to Clarksdale, Mississippi with Uni groups. She earned a B.A. at Bates College, various graduate degrees in France, an M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of Chicago. An avowed "school junkie," she has been a student or a teacher for most of her life.

Bill Sutton (w-sutton) teaches U.S. History and American History Seminar. He earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois.
