SEASON PREVIEW: The girls basketball team had a great year, finishing with a record of 16-9, Coach Rebecca "Merf" Murphy's best in her 15 years. They began the season with a 5th place finish in the Comet Classic, an improvement over last year's 9th place, and Senior Rachel Skoza made the all-tournament team. Skoza later joined the 1,000 point club (she finished the season with 1,126) and was named MVP by the team. The found an unexpected new star in Freshman Jamie Blue, who led the team in points, rebounds, steals, and assists. Though they lost to St. Joe in the regional semifinal game, they grabbed second place in the ECIC and had a season to remember.
