Alan's Senior Photo

Dr. Alan Broadbent was born on July 27, 1947 and married JoAnne Alynne D’Alo in 1978. A graduate of both Uni High and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, he graduated from the Dental School of Washington University in 1975. He founded his own practice, where he served for thirty-five years, and was known for “kind, warm, compassionate manner.” He made going to the dentist less fearful and had a “magic touch” that enamored him to his patients. His employees remember him as “the best boss” they had. An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, he was an active member in the community and served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Southern State Mission.

Dr. Broadbent loved sports and camped, canoeing, and hiked with his family in the Adirondack Mountains every summer. Friends and family remember him for his generosity, calm, and most of all, his sense of humor. He passed away from complications of COVID-19 and is survived by four sons and thirteen grandchildren.
