Jonathan Kuck

Jonathan Kuck was a member of the graduating class of 2007. From the age of 10, Kuck has been a speed skater and has competed internationally since 2008. After graduating from Uni, Kuck attended UIUC to get his Bachelor’s with a major in engineering physics and a minor in computer science. He then obtained his PhD in computer science from Stanford. 

Around the same time, Kuck began his accomplished skating career. Kuck won the 2008 and 2009 U.S. Junior Speedskating Champion, as well as taking second overall at the 2009 World Junior Speedskating Championships. Kuck also competed in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, where he won a silver medal in the Team Pursuit event.

Skating Accomplishments

Kuck competed in both the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics, winning a silver medal in 2010.

Current Job

Kuck works as a Robotics Engineer with Dexterity Inc.

Returning to Uni

A few months after winning a silver medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics, Kuck revisited Uni, meeting with current students and allowing them to take photos with his medal.
